Pollstar released it’s figures yesterday and Kenny’s 2008 Poets & Pirates Tour was the # 1 attended tour in any genre and the # 4 overall tour, with the lowest aggregate ticket price on the list. It’s been confirmed - Carrie Underwood’s new single will be “I Told You So.” The song was written and originally recorded by Randy Travis and it reached # 1 back in 1988. Carrie’s version will officially be released to radio on 2/2.
Carrie will also be making a special appearance on Wednesday evening’s People’s Choice Awards. Already confirmed for the show are Jewel and Rascal Flatts—along with the evening’s host Queen Latifah when the show airs live on CBS at 8 PM, Eastern.
Taylor Swift will be the musical guest on the next episode of Saturday Night Live. Taylor joins host Neil Patrick Harris for the first new episode of the hit comedy show in 2009.
